Green Purchasing

Monash Residential Services aims to reduce the environmental impact of its purchases through the procurement of environmentally preferred products.  From recycled paper through to bio degradable products or alternatives to items such as plastic bags, MRS doing its part in the global community.

Monash Residential Services is part of the University Green Purchasing committee. Read below more information:

Recycled paper - 100% recycled!

Photocopier paper

Monash Residential is contributing to the university’s environment policy by purchasing the Evolve brand of 100 per cent recycled white paper for use in all its administrative offices’ printers and copiers as well as in the printers located in any student computer rooms.  This paper is 100% recycled, post consumer, paper and is produced in the UK and sourced though the University’s preferred stationary supplier – Corporate Express.

Clayton Residential is using toilet paper with 100% recycled content.

Jumbo toilet paper roll holders are also be installed as a means of increasing supply to residents while minimizing wastage and time required for cleaners to replenish such paper products.
