Maintenance History

Monash Residential Services is constantly striving to improve the living environment for all students that live in our residential facilities, whilst at the same time reducing our impact on the natural environment. Below is a run down of the major maintenance and renovation highlights that have occurred at Clayton Residential from the 1990’s through to 2008.

2008

Function room	Old dance floor carpeted, portable dance floor purchased.
Central Building	Main sewer line repaired and relined running from Howitt and Farrer Halls via Central
Bathroom areas	LED energy saving lighting installed in some bathrooms
All Halls and Normanby House	Outdoor wireless internet installed
Howitt Hall	New bike store area for bike share program
Howitt Hall	Additional indoor wireless point installed
Howitt Hall	New storage lockers installed on 12th floor kitchen
Farrer Hall	8 new recycled plastic picnic tables to replace old wooden ones
