Short Term Accommodation

There are limited options available when it comes to short term accommodation here at Gippsland Residential. Generally, our short term guests stay with us in West residences, however depending on the availability of units; guests may also be offered rooms in South residences.

Shared Accommodation

Most short term units have shared facilities which means that occupants share the shower, laundry, kitchen, dining area and lounge room. All occupants have access to a private and lockable bedroom. All residents have a private bedroom telephone.

Cleaning of all common facilities occurs weekly and upon departure of a guest.

West House 21 & 24

There are two newly fully furnished units in residences which is specifically set aside for short term guests.

West House 24 is a fully furnished unit with 5 bedrooms (comprising of single and double bed configurations). The lounge, kitchen and dining facilities are separate. A television is available in the lounge room and dining.

West House 21 is a fully furnished 3 bedroom unit (comprising of two double bed and one single bed configurations). This unit is ideal for guests who would prefer more space. Occupants in the double rooms, also have access to a private study.

The lounge, kitchen and dining facilities are separate. Both units have the same layout in terms of common space. A television is available in the lounge room and dining room. All rooms have private telephones. Linen is provided in the nightly rate.

All guests are required to keep the unit in a neat and tidy state.

Short Term Private Accommodation

We have limited options available for staff members to rent out a private unit. Typically, the rental agreement provides an adequately furnished West Unit with access to 2 or more bedrooms.

Please Note: For private accommodation options, we will provide linen for the first week and guests are required to supply their own linen after this period. Common area cleaning is only available in shared accommodation.

 Also available, throughout the year is our North flat. This unit has a double bedroom, lounge area, kitchenette and bathroom facilities. It does not have laundry facilities, however, guests can use the local Laundromat situated in the Churchill Township.

Group bookings and Conference groups

Depending on availability of beds, we encourage group bookings throughout the year. Generally speaking, the best time to accommodate group bookings is during the summer period (start of December - mid February). During this time, we have a lower occupancy rate, allowing us to accept groups bookings more freely.

During the Academic year, group bookings are approved depending on availability. Small groups are encouraged to book out our short-term accommodation units, if available at the time. Please direct all group enquiries to the Manager, den.lim@adm.monash.edu.au.
