Cleaning & Maintenance

Domestic Operations staff

Cleaning, maintenance and OHSE issues are very important to everyone at Peninsula Residential. We hope to provide a comfortable, safe and clean living environment for all residents at Peninsula Residential.

The Residential Office can be contacted on extension 44039 Monday – Friday 8.15am to 5.00pm.

After Hours emergencies should be reported to your Resident Advisor or Monash Security on 44318 or 333.

Cleaning

An independent contractor cleans the common areas of each residence on a weekly basis. This maintenance clean is important to ensure that the common facilities are maintained to a high standard. It does not however negate the individual responsibilities of the residents to keep their residence clean at all times. To ensure privacy, bedrooms remain the responsibility of the individual residents and a vacuum cleaner is provided to assist with cleaning.

Cleaning is done at the same time each week and a timetable is given to residents to advise them when the cleaners will arrive.

The cleaning contract specifications are advised to the cleaners and the residents to ensure that all are aware of the expectations and standards to be maintained.

Maintenance

All maintenance is provided by Facilities and Services staff and independent contractors. Maintenance is performed as a result of new initiatives, routine maintenance, emergency maintenance or individual maintenance requests.
