After hours emergencies should be reported to your Resident Advisor/Supervisor or Monash Security on 44318. Induction and TrainingPeninsula Residential staff and volunteer Resident Advisors receive training in many aspects of health and safety to ensure that they are aware of current requirements. This training is in areas such as fire safety and evacuations, first aid, mental health, risk assessments, safety audits and emergency asthma. Residents are given a safety induction upon arrival to ensure that they are familiar with the safety equipment provided and the location of first aiders and Monas Security for emergencies. Building and Safety InspectionsBuilding and safety audits of ALL rooms are conducted twice a year to ensure that all potential safety and maintenance issues are identified and resolved. Routine checks are made of electrical equipment, smoke and fire warning systems and fire extinguishing equipment. Trial evacuations are conducted, and trained First Aiders are available.
