Student Progress Units [SPU] and SPU Ratio prepared by Monash University Statistical Services. The data source was obtained from the DEST Student load Submission.
The data used in this table in compiling the SPU Ratios was from the student profiles living at the Clayton residential complex. Other MRS sites have too small a residential population to be included in the statistical analysis.

The above table demonstrates a consistently higher pass rate for students living in a Monash Residential Services managed on-site accommodation complex. The results are recognition of the work and the effort that Monash Residential Services has placed into supporting its residents and illustrate an on-going commitment to achieving our Mission Goals

Monash Residential Services has amongst its Mission Goals the following objectives:

To provide and develop an environment:

  • within each location on campus which provides care, support and enrichment for the residential community in academic, cultural, personal, social and recreational matters;
  • which has regard for the individual and group needs of the residential population, bearing in mind the multi cultural nature of each residential location and the wider Monash University Community;
  • which recognises and values diversity (e.g. nationalities, beliefs, abilities, talents, interests, etc);
  • that creates opportunities for mutually beneficial interaction between the members of the residential community;
  • that is secure living and which safeguards the health, safety and general welfare of all members of the residential community;
  • that supports and contributes to the future strategic direction of Monash University.
